How It Works

Also known as EFT, tapping is a form of alternative therapy that involves touching a variety of acupressure points on the body in a specific pattern in order to calm the mind and body.

The process is believed to clear disruptions in the flow of energy Proponents believe them to be areas of the body through which energy flows.

In this theory, blocks or imbalances in the flow of energy lead to ill health. By tapping on these meridian points with the fingertips restores the balance of energy to resolve physical and emotional issues.

It can also work in a similar way to mindfulness, as it can draw a person’s attention to their body and breathing. It may serve as a mental distraction from the issues that are causing anxiety or stress.

How to do EFT tapping

Gently tap five to seven times on 12 specific acupressure points on your arms, hands, head and torso, in order, while visualizing and/or naming out loud the pain or anxiety you’re currently feeling. Kyssanda will show you exactly how to do this and tailor a script specific to your needs.

What makes EFT special

It often works if nothing else will, giving rapid, long-lasting and gentle relief when the technique is applied correctly. There is no medication or equipment required and can be discreetly applied once the therapist has educated you and teaches you the technique.

Will it work for me?

Where EFT is applied correctly, over 90% of clients achieve either noticeable improvement or complete elimination of their issue. Some people achieve relief within minutes of receiving EFT. Others may require a few sessions to really learn, apply and see lasting results and benefits.
